Comparative study guidance Criteria A - Formal analysis Analysing an Image Format  What is happening in the image?  Write down your first feelings about the artworks.  What do you think about it?  Basic facts  • What is its title?  • Who made it (artist name)?  • What is made of (medium used)?  Context and intention  • Where was it made?  • What else was going on at the time the artwork was made?
